🎪 Random Bazar Festival, Feb 13–Mar 7, 2026

🎪What is the Random Bazar Festival?
A festival in Strasbourg celebrating alternative controller video games, experimental games and interactive art. Our audience: families, curious minds, art lovers, players, non-players and kids.

🕹️What do we mean by “alternative controller video game”?
At Random Bazar, it’s all about the HARDWARE
First we think about the INPUTS. Game controls must break away from standard gamepads ; think handcrafted or hacked objects, spatial setups, or devices driven by gesture & performance.
In addition to INPUTS, alternative controllers can also play with OUTPUTS.
Beyond screens and speakers: think scenography, projections, LEDs, custom sound, sensory feedback.
An original video game connects HARDWARE + SOFTWARE into a coherent, accessible artistic experience.
If you want some idea of alternative controller video game, we invite you to take a look at the great website https://shakethatbutton.com/ managed by Pierre Corbinais who documenting most video game installations.
